Travel Support

💡 Information: Please also consider other sources of financial support such as from your PhD school or research consortium (e.g. SFB/FOR/GRK in Germany) before applying for any of the travel grants provided.

DPG Travel Grant

The German Physiological Society (DPG) provides a travel grant budget of €9,000 for national and international participants. The exact amount per person will depend on the total number of applicants but is capped at 300€ per person.

Foreign Researcher Travel Support

Additional travel support is available for researchers from institutions outside Germany who are giving oral presentations. Thanks to the Company of Biologists, we can currently provide 4 grants at 300€ each. Selection is at the organizers' discretion. The award of this grant excludes the awardees from also applying for the DPG travel grant.

💡 Information: We are currently exploring further funding sources to support international and national participants. Any updates will be posted here and sent out via the newsletter.
Important: All travel support will be paid as (partial) reimbursements of the actual costs. Therefore, please save all your receipts and proofs of payment (bank statements/credit card bills). They need to be submitted after the symposium. Processing may take several weeks to months. Further information on the procedure will be sent out after the symposium.
